In Memoriam: JG Ballard, 1930-2009

The brilliant author JG Ballard died today in London after a long illness. He's the author of two of my favorite novels: Empire of the Sun, Crash and I also loved Cocaine Nights. Lyrical, haunting fiction. He will be missed.

I'm not afraid to admit that Crash both grossed me out and turned me on. James Spader was hot back then.
