OCTOBER WEBSITE UPDATE COMPLETE: The update of www.collinkelley.com is completed for October. There's a batch of new readings and appearances, new publications, a new poem and much more. Check it out when you have a moment. October is going to be another busy month as the promotion of Better To Travel rolls along.
SUNDAY REPORT: There was a nice turnout for the Pages At Phipps event at Phipps Plaza on Sunday, Sept. 28. Former state poet laureate Bettie Selles spoke and members of the Georgia Poetry Society (including me) read various works. That evening was my gig with the Jennifer Perry Combo at Java Monkey Speaks in Decatur. We had a full house as usual and Jennifer and Denton did an acoustic set of songs, including the old Todd Rundgren song "Can We Still Be Friends." I did a mix of poetry from the book and some new work. It was a fantastic way to close out September.
